MAKING EVERY GIFT IN WILL COUNT

At WWF-Australia, we are committed to maximising the impact of your gift in Will, while ensuring we can operate efficiently and sustainably into the future.

The generous support of Australians achieved so much for nature in the last financial year, including:

  • Protecting endangered greater gliders in Tallaganda by securing a Stop Work Order from Forestry Corporation NSW
  • Securing a new 2035 emissions reduction target of 75% below 2005 levels from the QLD government
  • Planting 91,901 koala food and habitat trees and creating koala habitat corridors on 105 private properties in the Northern Rivers NSW
  • Calling on Australia’s political leaders for stronger ambition when it comes to protecting and restoring trees through our inaugural National Trees Scorecard
  • Establishing 3,400 ha of new community conservation areas in India as part of our goal to double tigers by 2050
  • Proudly supporting 482 Indigenous women rangers caring for Country nationwide

Gifts left in Wills are a critical part of this picture – resourcing 9% of all that was achieved in 2024.

How your donation helps

Every year WWF-Australia releases our complete financial statements, showing where every dollar went.

In the last financial year, 74% of our income was dedicated to conservation programs regenerating Sky, Water and Country.

The remaining funds were allocated as follows:

  • 9% was allocated to administration, governance and monitoring systems, helping us operate efficiently and accountably. This includes vital investments in IT, reporting, security and finance.
  • 17% was spent on raising the next dollar for our conservation work.

We review our costs annually to ensure every donation is used to maximum effect for nature and wildlife.
